Abbey Park Cars received the national recognition of excellence from top car trading publishers, Auto Trader.

The award was presented to the team on July 26 for being retailers of the year in the motoring industry.

Competition was hard with over 13,000 automotive retailers in the UK to beat at the 14th annual awards ceremony.

The Retailer of the Year award is the highest accolade to be won. It is awarded to those who demonstrate the best practices in retail and consistently deliver top-quality customer experience across the whole car buying journey, from their online adverts to customer communication.

In total, 18 award winners were announced across seven categories during the ceremony and was hosted by Auto Trader COO, Catherine Faiers, and sales directors Rebecca Clark and Darren Moon.

The winners of this year’s awards were determined by a combination of in-depth analysis of millions of data points, independently judged by a panel of experts from Google and Rightmove, as well as customer feedback.

Ben Holdaway, Abbey Park Cars manager said: "This is a huge achievement for us as a Business and something that we are all incredibly proud of, especially coming off the back of what has been a particularly challenging 18-month trading environment in our industry.

“There is no doubt that our “Customer First” ethos and high standards over the years has really bolstered our reputation as a trusted car retailer, this has become paramount in the new virtual online purchasing world we find ourselves in."

Rebecca Clark said: “The automotive industry is incredibly resilient, but we’ve been amazed at just how successful some retailers have been at adapting to the unprecedented challenges of Covid-19.

“In this climate we think it’s more important than ever to step back and to recognise true retailing excellence. And based on the most comprehensive judging process, there is no doubt that this year’s winners are incredibly deserving, not least Abbey Park cars, which truly represents the very best of our industry.”
