Michelmersh Manor Farm, in the heart of Test Valley has a new range of accommodation coming soon for visitors to experience life on the farm in luxury.

The historic farm has three self-catering options. Bluebells, Foxglove and The Manor.

New additions will see shepherd huts with modern facilities and views of the farm and will be available for bookings by Christmas.

Also new for the seasonal holiday will be a conversion of the 400-year-old listed barn to offer two units to fit a family of four each and milk freshly supplied from the farm.

Fran Drake, owner of the farm said “This will be a very exciting new addition to the farm's holiday lets and we'll be taking bookings for Christmas this year.

“We hope to offer visitors the opportunity to have a very different kind of festive season to last year.

“The barn has been in a state of disrepair for such a long time, and it will be wonderful to see it come alive once more and offer a functional use.”

Visitors can explore the farm, which was purchased in1983 when the Drake family relocated from London.

There are currently 300 cows, 200 sheep which are lambed over the Easter period and there are chickens, guinea fowl, peacocks and horses as well as various crops grown throughout the year.

Families can help with feeding and watch milking taking place.

There are 5 walks from the farm in a guidebook provided to guests, as well as a games room with table tennis, snooker, table football and darts.

The farm is a great place to experience Test Valley which is famous for Chalk Streams and is the birthplace of Fly Fishing.
