PAULTON'S Park have scooped up nine awards in the Theme Park of the Year 2021 competition.
In its second year, the national competition asked members of the public to vote for their favourite theme park across 21 categories to include Best Theme Park for Families, Best Value and Best Customer Service
More than 170,000 votes were cast which were combined with the scores awarded from a panel of expert judges.
Among the judges were Paul Kelly, chief executive of the British Association of Leisure Parks, Piers and Attractions, Lawrence Roots, editor of ThemeParks-UK.com and Mark Locker, founder and CEO of Attractions.io.
Paulton’s Park received gold awards for Best New Attraction (Storm Chaser), and Best Theme Park for Toddlers.
The Park received silver awards for Best Theme Park of the Year, Best Theme Park for Large Families, Best Customer Service and Best Value and also received bronze awards for Best Family Coaster (Flight of the Pterosaur), Best Food and Drink and Best Live entertainment (Alive! Dinosaur Encounter).
Alton Towers, Thorpe Park and Chessington World of Adventures were among the parks to be nominated with Paulton’s Park coming in second behind Alton Towers based on the numbers of awards won.
For theme park fans, there were also awards for Blogger of the Year, YouTuber of the Year and Instagrammer of the Year.
