FIRE crews were called to a village home yesterday after a fire broke out in a tabletop oven.
Firefighters were alerted to the blaze at a house in Rownhams Road, North Baddesley at 7.24pm yesterday.
Crews from Eastleigh, Romsey, Portchester and Redbridge attended but the fire was said to be out when they arrived.
The oven was then removed from the building and a ventilation fan was used to clear the remaining smoke.
Community fire safety advice was then given to neighbouring properties before firefighters left the scene at around 7.44pm.
