THE Committee which organised the 2021 Romsey Festival recently invited participants to join them for a drinks reception at the Crosfield Hall to review this year’s Festival.

Mayor of Test Valley, Cllr Mark Cooper, and Romsey Town Mayor, Cllr Karen Dunleavey joined the event to hear the Committee describe the highlights. Although, due to the Pandemic, the events were reduced in size and number however feedback from the audience was positive.

The weather in early July had been good meaning the additional outdoor trails had been well attended.

Organisers of individual events agreed the festival was such a success that they were very keen to support the Committee’s recommendation that the next Romsey Festival should be held between July 1 and 16 2023. They also supported the re-election of Liz Wagner as Chair.

As plans are developed details will appear on website www.romseyfestival.org

Liz Wagner said “I am pleased to continue as Festival Chair and look forward to leading our very competent team in delivering a Festival in 2023 that embraces all the cultural talent we have here in Romsey.”

Cllr Karen Dunleavey said “This year’s events helped awake Romsey from the enforced shutdown of the Pandemic. I look forward to helping the team develop the 2023 Festival, helping make it the best ever Romsey Festival”
