ON a very wet Saturday morning Awbridge residents turned out in force to undertake their annual little pick.
Fred Tucker, chairman of the Awbridge District Village Association said: “This year we have had to do it in the autumn rather than the spring due to the Covid pandemic, but we still managed to collect well over 40 bags of rubbish in what is a very small village.
“Our villagers were not put off by the weather which continuously rained the entire litter pick They found many items of unusual rubbish that have been disposed of in the ditches and hedges around the village.”
Villagers then came together at the end to enjoy a cup of soup after the event.
The ADVA would like to say a big thank you to everyone who helped to improve the environment in the village.
