TWO men were arrested yesterday after the community came forward.

Officers, who were acting upon information from residents in Eastleigh, have arrested two men on suspicion of drug supply offences.

A 22-year-old man and a 20-year-old man, both from Chandler’s Ford were arrested on suspicion of possession of a Class B drug with intent to supply.

This came after police stopped a red Renault Clio on Blenheim Road at around 1.50pm on Thursday November 18.

The car had been brought to officer’s attention after information was provided by concerned locals around drug related activity.

Upon searching the vehicle, a quantity of Class B drugs was found, along with a number of counterfeit bank notes and other drug paraphernalia.

The items were seized along with two mobile devices.

The men have since been released under investigation, pending further enquiries.

A spokesman for Hampshire Constabulary said: “Information that we received from the community is vital and informs where we put our resources and take action against any illegal activity.

“If you, or anyone you know, suspects that an address in your neighbourhood is being used for drug dealing, drug-related activity or associated crime, then please called us on 101.”
