Gritters to be out across Southampton TONIGHT as freezing weather is forecast
GRITTERS will be out in force across Southampton tonight.
The Met Office has predicted that temperatures will reach as low as -1 degree tomorrow (Thursday), and only as high as 5 degrees.
Southampton City Council's fleet of gritters will hit the roads from 9pm.
A spokesperson said: "Our gritters will be out from 9pm tonight, treating priority routes.
"If you are on an essential journey please take care as temperatures are expected to drop overnight."
