A LARGE anticyclone has parked itself over the British Isles and the system is set to control our regions weather for much of the forecast period.

In short, this means a prolonged dry spell with a mixture of bright interludes and cloudier periods for both counties.

There is a slim chance of a well scattered shower developing later next week in the far south eastern corner of Hampshire and the Island however, most parts should escape these.

Temperatures around or slightly above average at times but as the outlook period progresses, daily maximum values will fall significantly .

we can all expect to wake up to a few frosty mornings along with mist and fog patches around dawn.
