DRIVERS in Romsey faced heavy delays this morning as two tractors were forced to stop at a bridge.
The agricultural vehicles had been travelling along Winchester Road when they got to the bridge near the roundabout.
Both loads of hay were too high to pass under, but a queue of traffic had already formed.
Police had to attend to ensure the vehicles could safely reverse.
The drivers had been on their way to West Sussex from Bere Regis – a 90 mile trip.
A spokesperson for Romsey Police said: "Thank you to all of those held up by the tractors this morning for your patience."
