A MARRIED couple from Romsey have high hopes for their latest business venture as they put their past medical qualifications to good use.

Chris and Emily Rennie, originally from Wales and Guildford, opened their medical clinic called Romsey Medical Practice, in Market Place in 2013.

They celebrated opening in a new bigger premises in Broadwater Road last weekend.

Emily said: “We’ve fallen in love with this area and Romsey is very much now our home. We’ve all seen how the medical landscape has changed since the pandemic, we have the ability to widen our treatments and services, offering Romsey an alternative should they wish.”

The relocation means extra room for the medical practice, which also also allows a broadening in service, offering a range of private GP services in addition to the current cosmetic services that are offered.

The practice is open for cosmetic services such as dermal fillers, anti-wrinkle treatments and chemical peels, while the private GP services such as consultations and treatment of minor illnesses, private prescriptions, HPV vaccinations, travel vaccinations, health assessments and medical examinations, which are available from Tuesday, March 1.

Chris said: “While the growth of our aesthetic treatment business has been very much welcomed. With the general hospital experience both Emily and I possess, we have to admit we miss certain elements of treating patients in that type of environment, which calls upon a wider range of medical expertise.

“We feel Romsey Medical Practice will fill a huge void for patients who may need more urgent attention than they are currently receiving.”
