A ROMSEY business is hosting a charity golf to raise funds and awareness for the Sepsis Trust.

Finance business My Invoice is organising the event, to be held at Paultons Golf Club on June 9.

They are raising funds for UK Sepsis Trust because, in 2016, one of the company's director, Stan Coltman contracted the condition and is still fighting the repercussions of losing the strength in his left arm.

Sepsis is caused by the body's defence system working overtime to fight infection. The large number of chemicals released into the blood during this process triggers widespread inflammation.

In the worst cases, it leads to a life-threatening drop in blood pressure. The aim of My Invoice's gold day is to raise funds and awareness. They are asking Romsey businesses to donate to their raffle.

The golf day will start at 11am and will include a nearest the pin competition and a bottle will be awarded to each player of the best team score on each hole. A dinner and prizegiving will take place in the evening.

The cost is £75 per person or £300 for a team of four.
