A popular Hampshire pub has reopened under new ownership.

New owners have announced that the Hunters Inn in Romsey is open again following a major refurbishment worth over £100k.

Husband and wife team, Chris and Nicola Schutrups recently took ownership of the pub, in Winchester Hill, and decided to overhaul the pub's dated look for a modern feel with a view of repositioning the pub in the community.

In February, long-term owners Gary Whitfield and Gina McDonald left the pub after making it into a staple of the local area.

With help from experienced head chef Max Beale, a whole new menu has been launched. It features many pub favourites, plus some new items which are all made fresh on site, using locally sourced produce and ingredients where possible.

Chris said: “We’re super proud of the brand new Hunters Inn, we’ve put a lot of focus on making this a food led, family friendly venue where the community can enjoy home-cooked food and a nice pint of local beer or a glass of wine sourced by our local supplier.”

You can book online at huntersinnromsey.com or by calling the pub on 01794 51419.
