Members of Romsey Flower Club recently took part in "celebration, a festival of flowers" at Salisbury Cathedral.

Janet Burr, Romsey Flower Club chairman, said: “We were given the title of "Mary Quant" some months ago and worked on a design which included a mannequin wearing a mini skirt and flowers representing the floral motif that was her trademark. The skirt was made from leaves.

“The festival was all about celebration from celebrating the queen's coronation to celebrating British culture. The centre of the nave celebrated romance and consisted of broken arches reaching up towards the ceiling of beautiful pastel coloured flowers. It was a magnificent sight.”
