THE Gratton Trust will be hosting a car boot sale at The Gratton in Sutton Scotney on Saturday, April 22.

The event will open to the public at 10am, with anyone who is selling asked to arrive at 9am.

Entrance to the car boot sale will cost 50p for adults, while under 16’s can enter free. For sellers, spaces for cars will cost £5 and spaces for vans will cost £7. Refreshments will be available throughout the event.

THE Half Moon and Spread Eagle in Micheldever is hosting an Earthquake Appeal of Syria and Turkey. The appeal will take place on Saturday, April 1 from 10am onwards in the pub’s garden.

Turkish chefs will be providing a large tabletop sale of Turkish delicacies. All of the money raised will go to humanitarian relief. Homemade cakes will also be welcomed to increase sales. The appeal is being sponsored by The Half Moon and Spread Eagle, Pole to Pole Marquees and Dever Printing.

THE next meeting of South Wonston Parish Council has been pushed back to Monday, March 20. It will take place at 7.30pm at the South Wonston Pavilion.

THE Dever Singers will be joining forces with the Hampshire County Youth Choir, the Southampton Choral Society and Barton Peveril Sixth Form College Choir for a multi-choir performance of Circlesong on Saturday, March 25.

The performance will be at the New Hall, Winchester College. Tickets cost £8, or £5 for concessions. All rickets are available via the Hants Web Shop or on the door.

SOUTH Wonston Parish Council will host a meeting of its Climate Café at South Wonston Pavilion on Sunday, April 2.

The café starts at 11am until 1pm. The meeting will tell attendees about biodiversity and ways they can bring more wildflowers into their lives.

The climate café will also feature a talk from Hampshire Swift expert Tim Norris at 11.30am, with a chance to get Swift boxes for your own home. This will be followed by a talk from local enthusiast Martin Fowler at 12.30am on bats, including his survey of the local bat population.

The event is free and open to everyone.

SOUTH Wonston Parish Council has announced that it will be holding a community event to celebrate the King’s Coronation.

The event will take place at The Pavilion and recreation ground on May 7. More details are expected to follow shortly.

MICHELDEVER Station has announced a Picnic in The Park event which it is holding to celebrate The Coronation. The event is expected to take place 11.30am on Monday, May 8 at Warren Field. The picnic will feature games for all ages.
