THE Annual General Meeting of Itchen Abbas and Avington Village Hall will be open to all residents of the two villages on Monday, July 17.

Anyone interested in the hall and its activities is encouraged to come along. The meeting will include a review of the past year and plans for the future. Elected committee members will also be chosen to represent the community.

EASTON and Martyr Worthy Cricket Club’s season is well underway. The club will next be playing at home at the David Roth Memorial Cricket Ground in Easton on Saturday, July 15, 22 and 29.

Meanwhile, the annual tug of war and barbeque takes place on Thursday, July 20 from 6pm and the annual cricket sixes competition and hog roast is being held on Friday, July 21 from 10am. For more information go to emwcc.play-cricket.com/home.

LITTLETON Safari Supper is back on Saturday, July 29. Participants will move to a different house for each course from 7.15pm to 10.30pm, with each household hosting one course (starter, main or desert).

The evening will end with coffee together at a central location. Tickets cost £17.50 per person with proceeds going towards the upkeep of St Catherine’s Church. There are a limited number of tickets available for people who are unable to host.

LITTLETON Art Group is looking for new members. The friendly club has been meeting for 30 years, drawing and using water colours and pastels at Littleton Church Room.

ON the Way café, at Martyr Worthy Village Hall, returns on Friday, July 14 from 10.30am to 12.30pm. The pop-up community café is usually held monthly from spring to November, mostly outside.

THE Littleton and Harestock Show committee have been busy getting the signs ready for this year’s show on Saturday, September 2 with gates opening at midday.

The flower show schedule is now available and competition entries are set to open this month at lhshow.org.uk/.

Organisers have said the craft show will have more stalls than ever before this year with a wider range of crafts on display. Any crafters who’d like to get involved should email craftlhshow@gmail.com.

SAFINA’S Thai takeaway van is open every Friday and Saturday from 4.30pm-9.30pm at Sparsholt Cricket Ground.

The food outlet will be open throughout the summer until September, with chef Safina Harris hoping to open again next year for the cricket season.

Dishes include Thai green curry, Massaman curry, Pad Krapow, Pad See Ew stir fry and mixed vegetable stir as well as started, sides and dipping sauces.
