AN RNLI ‘Bring and Buy’ coffee morning will be on at Littleton Millennium Memorial Hall on Tuesday, November 7.

From 10.30am to 12.30pm, visitors can browse Christmas cards, souvenirs and a variety of other stalls. Entry costs £3 and includes tea or coffee.

THE Defence Infrastructure Organisation is holding two community events to hear residents’ ideas for how Sir John Moore Barracks should be developed.

The first event is on 3pm-7pm, Friday, November 10 at Littleton Millennium Memorial Hall. The second will be at The Henry Beaufort School on Saturday, November 11 from 10am-2pm.

CRAWLEY residents have been warned to keep their valuables safe following 14 overnight breaks ins to cars in just five nights in surrounding villages, including vehicles parked on roads and in driveways.

THE Kings Worthy Rangers will host a tabletop sale on Saturday, November 4, to raise money to save their Girlguiding and activity centre Foxlease.

THE Martyr Worthy Lecture Series re-starts on Tuesday, November 28 with author and historian, Jessie Childs, who will talk about her book The Siege of Loyalty House, a new history of the English Civil War, through the story of the siege of Basing House from 1643-45.

Events start at 6.30pm in Itchen Abbas and Avington Village Hall for drinks and canapes before lectures commence at 7.15pm.

THE Annual Remembrance Sunday Parade at Easton War Memorial invites all members of the Royal British Legion (RBL) and anyone else who has served in the Armed Forces.

The group will be meeting at 10.45am on Sunday, November 12 and people are encouraged to wear medals if they have them.

The Remembrance Service will be held at St Mary’s Church Easton shortly after the two minute silence and wreath laying.

A QUIZ night at Itchen Abbas Village Hall will be raising money for Home-Start Winchester on Friday, November 10.

Participants can bring a team of up to eight people or join a team on the night. Raffle and quiz prizes include a week in an apartment in The Algarve.

Tickets cost £15 and include a ploughman’s supper. The event begins at 7.30pm. Wine and soft drinks will be available.

Competitions, food, drinks and a bonfire will be available before the fireworks start at 7.15pm. Tickets can be purchased for £5 in advance from the pub or village shop or for £7 on the day.

THE Autumn ‘Tell Me Tuesday Talks’ at Sparsholt School continue with ‘Outstanding Orchids’ on Tuesday, November 21.

Other talks to watch out for that are yet to have dates confirmed are ‘Archaeological Antics’ and ‘Imagination and Dreams’.

Talks start at 2.45pm with parents and members of the school community welcome to join.
