THE Bishop of Basingstoke’s Christmas sermon had a special guest this year.
The Rt Rev David Williams delivered his sermon on Christmas morning at Winchester Cathedral while holding his 15-week-old grandson.
The sermon, which lasted 15 minutes in total, was about the birth of Jesus Christ.
Bruce Parker, chairman of the Friends of Winchester Cathedral, posted on X, formerly Twitter: “The Bishop of Basingstoke, the Rt Rev David Williams, delivered his whole fifteen-minute sermon on Christmas morning at Winchester Cathedral holding his fifteen week old grandson in his arms.
“The baby performed perfectly and, guess what, the brilliant sermon was about a baby.”
