A WINCHESTER choir is inviting the public to an afternoon of songs, cakes and conversations.
Having celebrated its 100th anniversary last year, Winchester City Festival Choir (WCFC) is looking for new ways to develop and grow.
Rather than holding the usual evening concert, WCFC is hosting a tea party at St Paul’s Church in Fulflood on Saturday, February 17 from 2pm.

The event will be in three parts, starting with a taster session at 2.30pm with music director Paul du Plessis Smith and accompanist Gilly Slot who will be leading some popular classical pieces.
Then at 3.30pm visitors will be able to meet the singers over tea and homemade cake and find out what it’s like to be a member.
After 4pm guests can sit back and listen to the choir perform and hear people’s background stories. Admission to the event in St Paul’s Hill is free but donations are welcome.
