The following speeders have been sentenced at Southampton Magistrates' Court...

ASHLEY HEDGES, 35, of Lowton Gardens, Clanfield pleaded guilty to speeding on the M27 between junctions ten and nine. He was driving a Vauxhall westbound near Fareham when he was clocked at 89mph by an automatic speed camera. The 70mph national speed limit was in place at the time. Hedges was fined £70 and received three points on his licence. He was ordered to pay a £30 surcharge. 

RYAN SMITH, 34, of Bonchurch Road, Portsmouth admitted speeding on the westbound M27 between junctions ten and nine. He was driving an Audi when he was caught by an automatic speed camera at 90mph. The national 70mph limit was in place at the time. Smith was fined £129 and received three points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay £110 court costs and a £52 surcharge.

JEFFREY GRIFFITHS, 31, of Poplar Way, Hedge End pleaded guilty to exceeding a temporary 50mph speed limit on the M3 between junctions 12 and 11. He was driving a Ford near Winchester when he was clocked at 64mph by an automatic speed camera. Griffiths was fined £40 and received three points on his licence. He must also pay £110 court costs and a £16 surcharge. 

FIDA HUSSAIN, 40, of Oxford Avenue, Southampton admitted speeding on Bitterne Road West in Southampton. He was driving a Mercedes when he was caught at 35mph by manned speeding equipment. The speed limit is 30mph. Hussain was fined £100 and received three points on his licence. He was also ordered to pay £110 court costs and a £40 surcharge. 

CHARLIE-MARIE PARKER, 33, of Bradley Road, Milford on Sea pleaded guilty to speeding in a Nissan on Lymington Road, New Milton. Parker was clocked at 52mph by manned speeding equipment. The speed limit is 30mph. The 33-year-old must pay a £222 fine, £110 court costs and an £89 surcharge, as well as receiving six points.
