THE Romsey School's main hall was recently transformed into a bustling jazz club.
Pupils were the singers and the big band for the events on March 20 and 21.
The young musicians captivated the audience with their impressive grasp of rhythm and melody. The big band delivered a set of classic jazz standards and contemporary pieces.
Several talented vocalists took centre stage, belting out movie theme songs and timeless jazz classics.

Whether it was a soulful rendition of Hometown Glory or a playful take on Purple Rain, the young performers showcased their vocal range and stage presence.
Headteacher Annie Eagle said: “This event served as a testament to the thriving music programme at The Romsey School. It fosters a love for music in students from a young age, providing them with opportunities to hone their skills, build confidence, and collaborate with their peers.
“The Jazz Cafe performances concluded on a high note, with an incredible performance of Feeling Good, leaving the audience, well, feeling good. The future of jazz music in Romsey undoubtedly sounds bright!”
