A new estate agency in Hampshire is celebrating an "amazing" start after listing property worth more than £18m in just three months.

Rowe & Co Homes opened an office in Chandler's Ford in December 2023 and is already planning to expand over the next two years.

The company was launched by its managing director, Rob Rowe, who has been a local estate agent for more than 25 years.

Associate director James Steele is also a highly experienced estate agent, with more than a decade of experience leading offices in Winchester, Fair Oak, and Basingstoke.

Mr Rowe said: "It has been an amazing three months.

"We are thrilled that so many homeowners have put their trust in us to sell their properties, safe in the knowledge that we have all the expertise and knowledge required to deliver the best possible selling experience.

“To have listed more than £18m of properties across the Southampton region represents a huge vote of confidence in the way we go about our business.

"With the market now continuing to improve, the future looks very bright indeed."

Mr Steele added: "We have seen a steady increase in demand as the first quarter has progressed.

"The press has been increasingly more positive with inflation dropping and interest rates steadying, bringing a fresh feel of confidence back to the market.

"With longer days upon us and the spring market starting to warm up it’s a fantastic time to begin the moving process, and also a time that is traditionally busier than others.

"We are seeing a huge upward shift in buyer registrations and prospective vendors, indicating that the second quarter could be one of the best periods the market has had in the last two years.

"House prices are still holding and, if marketed well and correctly, we are finding that buyers can be secured very quickly.”

Saints supporter Harry Barrett has joined the team as a sales negotiator, bringing a wealth of local knowledge.

He went to college in Eastleigh and his grandparents live at Chandler's Ford.

A Rowe & Co Homes spokesperson said: "He is a keen Southampton fan and, having previously worked for a financial services company, has a good understanding of the property market but from a different perspective."
