A NEW coroner’s officer has begun work in Winchester.
Debbie Tapner, formerly a social worker for Hampshire Probation Service, has filled the part-time position vacated by Roger Matcham, who left on Christmas Eve after around a decade in the post.
“It’s going to be a fresh challenge,” said the 50-year- old from Chandler’s Ford.
“I’ve got lots to learn and I understand in terms of the person I have replaced I have got some shoes to fill.”
