THOUSANDS of people have lined the streets of Southampton to give Hampshire soldiers a heroes' welcome home.
Hundreds of school children waved flags and cheered as they lined the cobbles of the Civic Centre car park to see the soldiers form up this morning.

Up to 300 members of the 1st battalion the Princess of Wales' Royal Regiment are in the city to exercise their freedom to march to the Bargate accompanied by their regimental band.
Thousands have lined both sides of Above Bar and the High Street to cheer and wave Union Flags as the Armoured Tigers marched through the city.
The Tigers will this afternoon make their way to Romsey where they are expected to receive another rapturous welcome.
