NEW Alresford Town Council has generated a small surplus after the latest financial year.
Council finance chairman Roy Gentry said annual expenses came in at £238,000 last year, £9,000 under its operating budget.
But he added: “There are still quite a few end of year adjustments to be made and we will present a full report to the council at the next meeting, but it looks as we have come in within our operating budget.”
The council meets again on May 10.
