CARE home residents have got into the spirit of the season with their very first festive fayre.
Harrier Grange, in Hawker Siddeley Way, hosted its jolly event inviting the public to get their Christmas shopping started on December 3.
Residents ran stalls selling handmade gifts, decorations and traditional Christmas goods, with special guest Test Valley mayor Councillor Ian Carr attending.
Harrier Grange care home manager Kay Jerrams said: “We loved opening our doors for our first Christmas fayre - our staff and residents have been planning the event for a while, making crafts, decorations and knitted items to sell.
“Christmas is a really special time for our residents as it brings back so many memories, and we love embracing the songs, decorations and traditions.
“This fayre was a great way for our residents to feel really involved in the community and they were looking forward to meeting the visitors and helping them to choose some lovely Christmas gifts and decorations – it was a great way to kick-off the festive season.”
