AN ANDOVER care home celebrated Valentine’s Day the right way this year.
Rothsay Grange care home, in Weyhill Road, was filled with flowers, cards and sweets in celebration of the day of love.
Staff, residents and guests baked Valentine-themed cookies as part of the festivities, and enjoyed sweet treats from their very own chocolate fountain.
Local crooner Gary Roman was also present, singing to everyone and giving a single red rose to each of the women in the home.
Barbara, a resident at Rothsay Grange, said: “It has been a lovely day. It was wonderful to see everyone go to so much effort to get involved with the day’s festivities.
“I really liked the fact that even though I couldn’t make it out of my room they brought the fun to me so I wasn’t left out.”
Speaking on the day, general manager Jessica Salway said: “Today has shown us all that you are never too old for love.
“We’ve had a whole range of treats and Valentine’s themed fun for the individuals that live here and their guests
.”
