A NEW Andover and District Mencap facility for children with learning disabilities and complex health needs was officially opened this week.
Councillor Ian Carr, mayor of Test Valley, visited Rainbow Corner, in Blendon Drive, on Monday to cut the ribbon and celebrate the opening of the new centre.
Rainbow Corner provides bespoke care and respite for children with learning disabilities and complex health needs. It will offer 1,344 bed nights for children per year.
Ami Turner, registered manager, said “I am so happy to be the manager of this wonderful facility.
“Personally and as an organisation we have invested a lot of time, energy and finances in to getting this right.
“To see the children and young people, as well as their families, benefit from it is a joyous occasion.”
