OVER one thousand chocolate eggs have been delivered to those who deserve a treat this Easter.
Andover Foodbank has passed out more than 1,150 to organisations in the town for children and vulnerable adults.
The eggs have been handed to the crisis centre, children’s services, and young carers and more went out this week.
The treats were donated by a range of organisations including Farleigh School, Hatherden School, Portway School and Magic Tower Nursery School, Muddy Runners and Dawnbreakers, churches, and individuals.
A foodbank spokesperson said: “The Easter egg project is not just about giving a treat, it is about engaging with people in need within our local community, showing that we care and sharing the Easter message with them.”
