AS ANOTHER Bank Holiday weekend looms, we've found a selection of things to do to get out and about across the Andover region.

All weekend

  • Finkley Down Farm is hosting a Unicorn Weekend on Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Meet the Finkley Unicorns and follow the Unicorn Trail to win a prize. Events taking place throughout the day. Go to finkleydownfarm.co.uk.
  • Four Kingdoms, near Headley, is hosting a Fairytales and Unicorns-themed weekend from Saturday to Monday. See 4-kingdoms.co.uk/events-at-4-kingdoms-adventure-play.
  • The Vyne, near Sherbourne St John, has a selection of ongoing events for all the family to enjoy.Go to nationaltrust.org.uk/the-vyne.

Saturday

  • Andover parkrun starts at 9am at Charlton Playing Fields. No cost to take part, but register beforehand via parkrun.org.uk/andover.
  • The 11th running of the Hurstbourne 5 Multi-terrain Race begins at 11am. The race is run in the heart of the beautiful North Wessex Downs, starting in the village of Hurstbourne Tarrant and following part of the Test Way through woods and farmland. Online entries available at runbritain.com. A 2k fun run open to all ages. All proceeds will go to the Hurstbourne Tarrant Community Centre and Andover Young Carers
  • Overton Rugby Club will host a men’s 15-a-side rugby tournament as part of the club's 2019 festival. There will also be a fully stocked bar and a barbecue on offer. Search ‘ORFC 2019 Festival’ on Facebook for more information.
  • Quirky Productions present Ha Ha Land at The Lights from 7.30pm. This is a new and original comedy sketch show. Tickets cost a tenner. Go to thelights.org.uk/whatson.

Sunday

  • THE Rotten Hill Cup returns this at Longmeadow Sports Ground, in Whitchurch. Gates open at 1pm, with the Whitchurch vs Overton under 13s match at 2pm and the over 40s game from 4pm. Tickets cost £5 for adults and £1 for children. Money raised in aid of Whitchurch and Overton United Football Clubs and the Kingfisher Day Centre at Laverstoke.

Monday

  • Anton Rotary Club Car and Motorcycle Show will be held at the Weyhill Showground, at the junction of Ludgershall Road and Amesbury Road from 11am to 3pm. Car viewing from 11am to 3pm. Food will be available on site and parking and entry will be free. Donations taken for The Countess of Brecknock Hospice.
  • The weekly Rhymetime at Andover Library will run from 2pm to 2.30pm. Join in the fun with songs, signs and rhymes for 0-4 years and their parent/carer. Entry is free.
