VOLUNTEERS have been praised for their efforts in helping disabled people.

Enham Trust invited volunteers from across the region to its Enham Alamein base on Thursday last week to thank them for the work they have done for the charity in the last 12 months.

In the last year the charity has been supported by volunteers from companies including Unum, Co-op and RBS and more than 50 individuals who have carried out roles ranging from handyman to radio DJ.

At the event, volunteers were presented with certificates and goody bags were presented by director of operation at the charity Sara Bradbury, who said: “I feel genuinely privileged to have been able to give out the certificates today.

“Without volunteers we simply couldn’t do everything we do and on behalf of everyone at the charity I want to say a big thank you.”
