A MAN who sent a threatening letter intending to cause distress or anxiety has been fined.

Nathan Smith, of Woodlands Way, Andover, sent the communication to his victim on July 8.

At Basingstoke Magistrates Court on July 31 the 49-year-old pleaded guilty to the offence.

He was fined £80 and told to pay £85 court costs, along with a £32 victim surcharge.
