CONCERNS have been raised about the care of an elderly woman who died three days before Christmas, an inquest opening heard.
Norma Mckiver, 86, who suffered from alzheimers, died at the Royal Hampshire County Hospital in Winchester on December 22. She was a resident at Rothsay Grange Care Home in Weyhill, near Andover.
A report prepared for the coroner stated the preliminary cause of death as sepsis following an acute kidney injury.
Reading from the report, area coroner Jason Pegg said there are "concerns about the care" for Ms Mckiver.
The full inquest has been adjourned to May 4.
