A STRETCH of road between Andover and Salisbury has been reopened after an earlier accident this morning.

Police have confirmed that the A343, at Lopcombe Corner, was closed this morning while emergency services dealt with a two-vehicle collision.

It later reopened at 8.45am after the vehicles involved were recovered.

Officers were called at 6.30am after reports of a collision involving a silver Peugeot and a black Volkswagen at Lopcombe Corner.

Nobody was injured in the crash but police say a road closure was put in place as emergency services “dealt with the scene.”

The vehicles were recovered and the road later reopened.

Traffic has since returned to normal levels.
