A MAN from Dorset has been fined after pleading guilty to driving without insurance in Charlton.

Ross Cook, of Northmoor Way in Wareham, was caught driving a BMW 325 on Hatherden Road without insurance on March 6.

The 22-year-old pleaded guilty by the single justice procedure at Aldershot Magistrates' Court earlier this week.

He was fined £120, given six points on his licence and ordered to pay a total of £117 in costs and surcharges.

A WHITCHURCH woman has pleaded guilty to driving without insurance, licence and MOT.

Thandeka Tauya Dhlamini, of Evingar Road, was caught driving a vehicle on Bell Street in Whitchurch on April 28, without a valid MOT certificate, insurance or a licence.

She pleaded guilty via the single justice procedure and was fined £155, plus £85 in costs and a £34 victim surcharge.

The 29-year-old was also given six penalty points on her licence.

THE CASE of a man from Wiltshire who pleaded guilty to speeding on a dual carriageway near Andover has been delayed.

Paul Joseph Blakeborough, of Trowbridge Road in Bradford-on-Avon, was caught travelling at 79 miles per hour on the A303 near Longparish in September 2019.

He pleaded guilty via single justice procedure in February, but the case has been delayed because of the coronavirus pandemic.

The 51-year-old's case will be mentioned again on July 13.

A MAN who failed to tell police who was driving his car when it committed an offence has been fined more than £800.

Jake Robert Charles Patterson, of Cadley Road in Collingbourne Ducis, near Ludgershall, was sent a Notice of Intended Prosecution by Hampshire Constabulary in February after his Volkswagen Passat was allegedly caught travelling at 81 miles per hour on the A303 near Parkhouse Cross.

However, after a reminder was sent a month later, the police had no acceptable response.

He was fined £660, ordered to pay costs of £85, a victim surcharge of £66 and had six penalty points put on his licence, after he was found guilty via single justice procedure.

The speeding offence was withdrawn.
