POLICE are appealing for information after they say several cats have been targeted in Amesbury.
Officers want to hear from anyone that can help them in identifying a person who has allegedly been attacking cats overnight.
They say that the cats' fur has been shaved or red and white sticky tape has been wrapped around them.
It is usually stuck to the cats around their neck, and often takes place in the Maple Way area overnight.
Amesbury Police said: "These acts are not only harmful to the animal but also distressing to their owners and we urge them to please stop."
Anyone with information that could lead to the identification of the offender should call Wiltshire Police on 101, quoting 54200086078.
