The Enham Trust will be throwing open the doors to everyone looking for a Christmas tree as it looks to raise funds to continue its work.

The Enham Alamein-based charity will open up its Nordmann tree field, which contains over 26,000 trees, to the public this weekend.

Trees will be on sale between £25 for three to four foot tree, up to £45 for a six foot tree. All proceeds will be going towards the charity’s work supporting those with disabilities.

Enham Trust Head of Gardening and Domestics Nigel Sully said: “We’re thrilled to be able to open up our field to the general public and help bring some Christmas cheer into homes at the end of an incredibly challenging year.

“We have confidence in our COVID secure measures and the proceeds from all tree sales go to helping us fulfil our mission of enabling disabled people to live, work and enjoy life by continuing to provide our services to the thousands we are honoured to support every day.”

The charity has a number of measures in place to ensure the 'elf and safety' of visitors, including the monitoring of visitor numbers, social distancing signs and hand sanitiser dispensers around the field, while staff will wear PPE and socially distance from customers.

The charity advises that visitors should wear sensible footwear and adhere to social distancing guidelines. They said that parking is available on-site at Enham Trust’s main site in Enham Alamein, while due to limited signal in the field, cash is required for a purchase, so customers should bring the correct change if possible.
