THE A303 is closed in both directions after a "serious" crash between three cars and a lorry.
Emergency services are currently in attendance and have closed the road in both directions between the junctions at Deptford (A36) and Willoughby Hedge (A350).
Wiltshire Police say it is expecting the road to remain closed for "some time", and is urging motorists to find alternative routes.
The South Western Ambulance Service has now confirmed a woman has been airlifted to hospital as a result of the crash.

Highways England has added that road users are being diverted via the A36, A350 and B3081 in both directions.

The AA traffic map confirms the road is closed, and to expect long delays and queueing on the A303 both ways between the A350 Warminster Turn-Off and the B3089 West Knoyle Turn-Off.
