PEOPLE will gather at war memorials and in churches on Sunday to remember those who have given their lives for their country.

Here is a list of services and parades taking place:

Basingstoke: A parade will take place at the War Memorial in London Road where borough mayor Councillor Sean Keating will lay a wreath, at 11am.

Baughurst: An outdoor service at the War Memorial from 10.50am, preceded by a parade at 10.45am.

Bramley: A commemorative service will be held in St James’ Church, starting at 10.30am. In the evening, the beacon will be lit on Clift Meadow at 7pm follwed by the sounding of the Last Post. The church bells will be rung at 7.05am. 

Chineham: On Saturday, 10 November there will be an unveiling of a commemorative ‘Lest We Forget’ seat, at 11am on Thornhill Way.

Hartley Wintney: A service will be held in St John’s Church at 10am ahead of meeting at the war memorial from 10.30am to 10.45am before the Act of Remembrance at 11am.

Kingsclere: “Lest We Forget” commemoration in words, music and dance at the Fieldgate Centre, on Saturday, at 7pm. A Remembrance Parade and Service on Sunday at The Square from 11am.

Oakley: A Remembrance Service at St John’s Garden of Remembrance at 10.45am.

Odiham: There will be a parade and service at the War Memorial at 10.10am, concluding with a fly past. This will be followed by a service of remembrance at 10.50am at All Saints Church.

Later, at 6.30pm planning a candle-light procession from the church to the village beacon is planned.

Old Basing: Old Basing Royal British Legion Remembrance Parade to St Mary’s Church, followed by service at the church at 10am and march back to the legion for refreshments at St Mary’s Church, all lasting from 9am to noon.

Overton: There will be a parade, meeting at Beech Tree Care Home in Sprents Lane at 10.20am and setting off at around 10.30am to arrive at St Mary’s Church and assemble at the War Memorial for 10.50am.

There will then be an age appropriate service in the church rooms from 11am, for around 45 minutes, as well as the normal service in the main church.

Pamber Heath: A service at St Lukes Church from 10.45am.

Silchester: Remembrance Service at the War Memorial from 10.55am. Beacon lighting at 6.50pm outside the Calleva Arms.

Tadley: Remembrance Service and parade, assembling at Tadley Community Primary School at 2.30pm, the parade departing at 2.50pm and a service at St Paul’s Church at 3pm.

Whitchurch: There will be a parade from Bell Street which starts at 10.30am followed by a church service at All Hallows Church.

Winklebury: A Remembrance Sunday Family Service at the Sycamore Centre, 10.30am to 11.30am.
