A POLICE investigation has been launched after an attempted burglary at a newsagents.
Between 2.20pm and 2.30pm on Friday, it was reported a group of up to eight people entered the D&R News store, in Downsland Parade, with one trying to enter a private area behind the till of the shop.
Nothing was reported as stolen.
A social media post from the owner of the store suggested the presence of other customers in the store prevented the attempt.
Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 101, quoting the crime reference number 44190091390.
