TRAIN services to and from London Waterloo are expected to be disrupted until the early part of this evening due to over-running engineering works.
All lines connecting to the key hub station were closed earlier this morning due to the works, but every line has now re-opened.
However, disruption including delays and cancellations is expected until at least 6pm today as a result.
A post on the South Western Railway website reads: "We were earlier informed of over-running engineering work in the London Waterloo area. Services were unable to run in and out of London Waterloo on all lines until 06:30 this morning. Network Rail engineers have now resolved the issue. However during the closure, trains were unable to leave a number of depots and enter services. As a result there will be residual delays and alterations to services throughout the morning.
"To assist you on your journey today your rail tickets are being accepted on the the following:
-Great Western Railway services between Basingstoke, Reading and London Paddington
-Southern Railway Services by any reasonable route
-London Underground between London Paddington and London Waterloo, and between Richmond/Wimbledon and London Waterloo
-London Transport buses between Wimbledon, Clapham Junction and London Waterloo.
-Cross Country services between Southampton and Reading."
