BANK cards, wallets and tools have been stolen from a number of parked cars in Preston Candover.
Thieves targeted a van and a number of sports cars park at the Recreation Field in Wield Road, between 1.30pm ad 3.30pm yesterday (April 21).
The thieves smashed a window to gain entry into the vehicles whilst their owners were only a short distance away.
Several items including tools, wallets including documentation, bank cards etc. were stolen.
Some of the property has since been recovered at nearby village of Farleigh Wallop near the church.
PC Andrew Reid said: “I wish to remind all residents not to leave valuables in their vehicles when parked up in isolated areas, thieves will be aware of electrical equipment that you may have in your vehicle, please also do not place handbags etc. under the seats as this is the first place thieves will look.”
If anyone has any information regarding the thefts, they are asked to contact the police on 101 quoting 44190137299.
