A CHILD has been reported to have sustained serious injuries after an incident involving a car on the A30 last night (May 20).
Police and the ambulance service were called to Winchester Road, the A30, eastbound between Brighton Hill Roundabout and Winchester Road Roundabout at around 5pm, responding to reports of an incident involving a car and a child.
Hampshire Constabulary said an 11-year-old girl was left in a serious collision as a result of the incident was taken to Southampton General Hospital.
Police added the girl's condition remains serious.
The A30 eastbound was closed as a result of the incident.
Anyone witnessed the collision or has any dash cam footage, is asked to call police on 101, quoting Operation Thorne.
