MARTIAL artists at a club in Basingstoke have been celebrating after a grading ceremony.

The children and adult members of the Basingstoke TAGB Tae Kwon-Do Martial Arts club passed the grading with flying colours on June 16 where some members receiving special accreditation.

Tristan Evans was promoted to fourth degree black belt, after being an assistant instructor for the club for many years.

Martyn Green, fourth degree black belt, who has just taken over running of the club as an instructor after more than 25 years worth of experience, is looking to get more people involved in the sport.

Martyn said: “Tristan being promoted is a massive achievement, he has been training hard for many years.

“I am looking to welcome new students, children and adults to join in the success, get fit, have fun and improve self esteem, self control, focus and confidence.”
