A TEENAGER has been left injured after he was stabbed in the stomach last night.
The incident happened just after 7pm in Popley.
Police said a 36-year-old man from Basingstoke had been arrested and was in police custody.
Sources said the young man ran into a local hotel and was treated by members of staff.
South Central Ambulance Service sent a rapid response vehicle to the scene as well as the Thames Valley Air Ambulance and an ambulance officer to assess and treat the teenager.
He was treated at the scene before being taken to University Hospital Southampton.
The teenager, who police say is from London, is recovering in hospital.
His injuries are not thought to be life threatening.
