BASINGSTOKE is set to gain a brand new toy shop - just in time for the festive period.
Smyths Toys Superstore will be opening a branch in the town in November.
The chain is opening a store in Unit 2 of St Michael's Retail Park on Harrow Way.
And the firm is currently advertising positions for temporary customer service representatives online.
The news has been widely welcomed by residents on social media.
"Hooray, no more trips to Reading," one wrote.
"Can't wait for it to open." another said.
Others praised the timing of the shop.
"That's Christmas sorted then," one added.
St Michael's Retail Park has been open for trading since September 2018, though it has taken some time for the units to become occupied.
Smyths is the latest addition to the shopping destination that already houses an Aldi supermarket, Wren Kitchens, Oak Furniture Land and as well branches of Nando's and Costa Coffee. A Greggs restaurant is also the pipeline.
The park still has two vacant buildings available for trading. It states on its website: "Eighty-seven per cent of the space is currently let or under offer."
