A NOISY neighbour has been fined more than £7,000 for playing excessively loud music.
Alexander Jacob Lowe, of Netherfield Place, Rooksdown, appeared at Basingstoke Magistrates Court on October 14 after pleading guilty to eight counts of causing a nuisance from playing amplified music.
The court heard how between November 13, 2018 and March 18, 2019 there were eight occasions when complaints were made against the 45-year-old for playing loud music from his flat, causing a disturbance to the surrounding neighbours.
During the hearing magistrates had heard that despite being given an abatement notice he persisted to play loud music.
Magistrates ordered Lowe to pay £100 for each of the eight counts, as well as £6140.85 costs and £85 victim surcharge, giving a total fine of £7,025.
