POLICE have reopened a road between Andover and Basingstoke which was closed due to an earlier incident.
The B3400, near Apsley Farms, in Hurstbourne Priors, had been shut following a crash which took place shortly before 8am.
Officers were on the scene and had closed the road in both directions but it has since been reopened.
Traffic is said to have now returned to normal levels.
One motorist had earlier described seeing an ambulance 'shoot past' on the busy road before being turned away by police who cordoned off the scene shortly before Apsley Farms.
Drivers were advised to seek alternative routes but are now able to use the road as normal.
