ALL lanes have been reopened on a stretch of dual-carriageway near Basingstoke after an earlier incident this morning (Tuesday).
The A34 northbound, between Bullington Cross and Whitchurch, had one lane closed due to what was described as a “vehicle fire” by Hampshire County Council’s ROMANSE (road management systems Europe) Twitter account.
Police were called to the scene at 8.46am, noting that members of Highways England were also in attendance to clear a spillage of oil from a car's engine.
The car has since been recovered and officers have confirmed that the lane is clear.
Traffic is said to be moving as normal once again.
