PEOPLE have been complaining over a foul smell in Daneshill this week.
Residents phoned the Gazette complaining after the stench made people in one office physically be sick.
Described as a sulphur smell by one worker, it descended on Wade Road at around 10.30am on Monday.
Basingstoke and Deane Borough Council say they have located the source of the issue, which was a familiar story.
The council's head of environmental services, Tom Payne, confirmed it was caused by a faulty filter at Thermo Fisher, a science lab.
He said: "We received a report of an odour in Wade Road. We investigated and determined there was a problem with one of the filters at Thermo Fisher. This has since been rectified and we are happy Thermo Fisher has reacted promptly and appropriately to the issue."
The Gazette contacted Thermo Fisher on Monday, who have not yet responded.
It comes after residents also complained about a foul smell, caused again by Thermo Fisher, in August.
